Giorgos Papakonstantinou is a Cypriot poet, author, and playwright whose work bridges tradition and modernity with powerful emotional resonance. With six published books - My Heart, Speak Softly, Sunset, and Colors in Cypriot and Greek, as well as the translated Unrefined (Greek, English, Spanish, Turkish) and Shadows in the Dark (Greek, English), he crafts narratives that explore identity, connection, and the universal human experience.
Since 2023, Giorgos has been engaging audiences in the artistic process through his instant story-writing project called Story Typer, which has also led to a publication with stories written in the streets of Animafest Animation festival on the typewriter.
His theatrical works, including Soulless (2023), the theatrical concert Colours (2024), and Wounded (2025) showcase his concept of blending poetic storytelling with immersive stagecraft. Renowned for his ability to transcend linguistic and cultural barriers, Giorgos invites readers and audiences into deeply humane worlds.
His work has been performed and presented in Cyprus, Greece, and the UK, reflecting cultural and emotional themes and offering a perspective within contemporary theater and literature.
