Poetry in Motion – OPU Nicosia

A public literary project that brought poetry into the urban environment, transforming a city bus into a moving space for reading and artistic encounter. Through live readings of original texts during the journey, the project sought to bring literature closer to the everyday experience of passengers while highlighting the potential of public space as a site for cultural participation.

Contribution: Participation through live readings of original literary texts.

Presented: Poetry in Motion, Organisation for Positive Urbanism (OPU Collective), Nicosia.

StoryTyper

A participatory literary and performance practice that relocates writing into public space, approaching it as a collective social process. Participants contribute words, memories, or thematic prompts, which are transformed into original literary texts composed live on a mechanical typewriter within ten minutes. The project explores the relationship between language, time, participation, and collective creation, inviting audiences to become co-creators of the writing process.

Contribution: Concept, writing, and live literary composition.

Presented: Festivals, literary events, artistic collaborations, and public interventions across Cyprus, including Salamiou (Paphos), pop-up events in Nicosia, and the Animafest Cyprus Residency. Selected texts were later published in a collective print edition following the Animafest Cyprus Residency.
